Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Climarq is a climate intelligence ecosystem built by Glaricx Technologies. Our full registered company name is Glaricx Technologies Private Limited. Our corporate identity number is U72900GJ2021PTC127201, and our registered office is at A-9, FF, Arti Society, Payalnagar Road, Near Shalin School, Naroda, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382330, India.
In this policy “Climarq”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Glaricx Technologies — the company that decides how and why the personal information described here is handled.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the climarq.io website — the pages you are reading, the contact form, the newsletter sign-up and the Carbon Readiness Assessment.
It does not cover the Climarq application itself. When an organisation uses the Climarq app, that organisation decides what information goes into it; we handle that information on their instructions, under a separate agreement and separate data processing terms.
3. Information you give us
When you contact us
Your first and last name, work email address, organisation, job title or role if you choose to give it, the topic you select, and anything you write in the message box.
When you subscribe to our newsletter
Your email address, and nothing else.
When you take the Carbon Readiness Assessment
The answers you select. The assessment does not ask for your name or email address, and we cannot identify you from a submission.
4. Information collected automatically
- Standard web records: the pages you visit, the page that referred you, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type.
- The address of the page a form was submitted from, so we know which part of the site prompted you to get in touch.
- A one-way hashed value derived from your IP address, used to limit how often the same visitor can submit a form. It cannot be reversed to recover your IP address.
- When you complete the anti-spam check on our contact form, your IP address and basic browser signals are sent to the security provider that operates that check, so it can tell a person from an automated script.
5. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and carry on that conversation with you.
- To send the updates you have asked for — and only those.
- To understand how the site is used, so we can analyse what is working and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and keep automated abuse off our forms.
We treat the information you give us as yours, not ours. We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade it, and we do not share it so that anyone else can advertise to you. We use it to communicate with you, to serve you better, and to analyse and improve our own systems — nothing beyond that.
6. Our legal basis (visitors in the EEA and UK)
- Legitimate interests — replying to enquiries, keeping this site secure, and understanding how it is used. We have considered your interests alongside our own in each case.
- Consent — newsletter emails. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to keep records.
7. Who we share it with
A small number of service providers help us run this website: hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, security and anti-spam protection, and the system we use to manage enquiries.
We describe them by category rather than by name because these providers change over time, and we would rather this policy stayed accurate than become a list that quietly goes out of date. Each may handle your information only to perform that service for us, only on our instructions, and never for their own purposes. If you would like to know who they are at any given moment, ask us and we will tell you.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims. Beyond that, we do not share your personal information with anyone, and we do not sell it.
8. Where your information is processed
We operate from India and your information is processed there. Some of the service providers described above operate from other countries, so your information may be transferred outside your own country — including to countries whose data protection laws differ from yours.
Where that happens we require appropriate contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where they apply, so your information keeps an equivalent level of protection. You can ask us for details of the safeguards in place.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries — up to 24 months after our last contact with you about them, then deleted automatically.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe, after which your address is removed.
- Assessment submissions — deleted automatically 12 months after they are made.
- Web records — kept for a short operational period for security and troubleshooting.
10. How we protect it
Everything you send us travels over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry records is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. Our forms are protected against automated abuse, and we hold the minimum information needed for the purpose.
No website or database can be made perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. What we can say is that we collect little, keep it briefly, and protect what we hold.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- delete it;
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable format;
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to a particular use;
- withdraw a consent you gave us earlier.
Write to us at hello@climarq.io and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you or make you give a reason.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you believe we have handled your information poorly, you are entitled to complain to your local data protection authority. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right — but you do not have to.
12. Grievance redressal
If you have a complaint about how your personal information has been handled, you can raise it with our Grievance Officer:
- Grievance Officer: Mehulkumar Patel
- Email: hello@climarq.io
We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
13. Children
climarq.io is a website for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, tell us and we will delete it.
14. Cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. At the time of writing it sets no cookies at all.
If that changes — if we add analytics, for example — we will ask for your consent before anything non-essential runs, publish a full list here of what is set and why, and give you a way to change your mind at any time.
15. Other websites
Our pages and articles link to external sites such as regulators, standards bodies and data sources. Those sites are not ours, and their privacy practices are their own. We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.
16. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so prominently on this page for a reasonable period rather than rely on you noticing the date.
17. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about your information: hello@climarq.io, or use the Contact Us page.
